Ingredients
  

Overnight Oats

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

  • chopped nuts walnuts, pecans, etc.
  • raisins
  • shredded coconut

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Combine all overnight oats ingredients in a jar or container.
  • Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed and the oats are submerged.

Chilling

  • Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the oats to soften and absorb the liquid.

Serving

  • In the morning, stir the oats and add additional milk if desired to reach your preferred consistency.

Notes

You can adjust the sweetness to your liking. For an extra boost of protein, add a scoop of protein powder.
