  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, beaten egg, flour, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  • Scoop about 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture for each puff and shape them into small balls or patties.
  • Place the shaped potato puffs onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and crispy.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can lightly brush the tops of the puffs with melted butter before baking. These puffs are also great for meal prep; simply reheat in the oven or air fryer.
