Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with melted butter.
  • Remove the cinnamon rolls from their cans and cut each roll into quarters.
  • Spread half of the cut cinnamon roll pieces evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Spoon the apple pie filling evenly over the first layer of cinnamon rolls.
  • If desired, sprinkle half of the chopped pecans over the apple pie filling.
  • Arrange the remaining cut cinnamon roll pieces over the apple filling.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the pecans over the top, if you are using them.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the casserole from the oven and drizzle the included icing over the hot casserole.
  • Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

To prevent the casserole from sticking, ensure the baking dish is thoroughly greased. If using pecans, toasting them lightly before adding can enhance their flavor. Always check the center of the casserole to ensure the cinnamon rolls are fully cooked and golden brown before serving.
