  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Optional

For the Rice

  • 4 cups Cooked rice white, brown, or jasmine

For the Bowls (Suggested Toppings)

  • 1 Fresh avocado sliced or diced
  • 1/2 Cucumber diced
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup Edamame shelled, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce or tamari for serving
  • Sriracha or your favorite hot sauce for serving

Instructions

Prepare Your Rice

  • Cook your chosen rice according to package directions and keep it warm.

Sauté the Garlic Butter Shrimp

  • Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and black pepper. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove from heat, then stir in lemon juice, chopped fresh parsley, and red pepper flakes (if using) and toss to coat.

Assemble Your Delicious Rice Bowls

  • Divide the warm cooked rice among 4 serving bowls, then arrange the cooked garlic butter shrimp on top of the rice.
  • Artfully arrange your desired toppings around the shrimp and rice, including sliced avocado, diced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, shelled edamame, and sliced green onions.
  • Sprinkle each bowl with sesame seeds and serve immediately with soy sauce or tamari and sriracha or your favorite hot sauce on the side for individual customization.

Notes

Consider pairing these flavorful bowls with a light side salad for a more complete meal, or adjust the spice level to your preference with additional red pepper flakes or sriracha.
