  • 2-3 lb Chuck Roast
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Ranch Seasoning Mix
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Au Jus Gravy Mix
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoncini Peppers with optional splash of juice
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil for searing, optional

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chuck roast on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Place the seared or unseared chuck roast into your slow cooker.
  • Evenly sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  • Distribute butter over the roast, then scatter pepperoncini peppers around and on top. Optionally pour in a few tablespoons of pepperoncini juice.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours until the roast is fork-tender.
  • Remove the roast, shred with two forks, then return to the slow cooker and toss with the flavorful juices. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, do not skip searing the roast as it adds a deeper flavor. Adjust the amount of pepperoncini juice to your spice preference.
