  • 1 lb large shrimp fresh or frozen (peeled and deveined, tails on or off)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper to taste
  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Thaw frozen shrimp completely, then pat them very dry with paper towels.
  • Whisk olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a large bowl.
  • Add shrimp to the bowl and toss gently to coat evenly with the mixture.
  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the shrimp and toss again to ensure it sticks well.
  • Arrange the shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Bake for 8-12 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque, turning halfway through if desired.
  • Remove from oven, garnish with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure shrimp are completely dry for best searing. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet to allow for even cooking. Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
