  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups Chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  • Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are set.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use good quality chocolate chips. Do not overbake to keep cookies soft and chewy. These cookies are best served warm, shortly after baking.
