  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Cook carrots and green beans in a pot of boiling salted water until tender-crisp, then drain them well.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat, then stir in honey, water, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the cooked carrots and green beans to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them evenly with the glaze.
  • Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly and the vegetables are heated through.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of dried thyme or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice at the end.
