  • 1 lb green beans trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Preparation

  • Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Mince the garlic cloves.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add green beans to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
  • Remove lid and continue to sauté for another 5-8 minutes, or until the beans are lightly browned and tender.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a squeeze of lemon juice or a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds before serving.
