Speedy Bang Bang Salmon with Zesty Glaze

Ingredients
  

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons sriracha adjust to preferred spice level
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Cooking & Garnish

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped, for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

Preheat & Prep Salmon

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking, then pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.

Make the Bang Bang Sauce

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and garlic powder in a medium bowl until smooth, then taste and adjust seasonings.

Cook the Salmon (Choose Your Method)

  • Pan-sear salmon in an oven-safe skillet with olive oil for 4-5 minutes per side until crispy and cooked through, or bake on a parchment-lined sheet for 12-15 minutes until it flakes easily.

Coat with Sauce

  • Generously spoon or brush the prepared Bang Bang sauce over each cooked salmon fillet.

Garnish and Serve

  • Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in a little soy sauce and ginger before cooking. You can serve this salmon with steamed rice and a side of your favorite vegetables.
